One of the objects that I chose to photograph was a field hockey ball. I have been playing field hockey since I was in third grade. Field hockey is my favorite sport to play and favorite sport to watch. I chose to take the picture of the ball on the grass. When I was in elementary school and middle school, I played field hockey on grass fields. High school field hockey is played on the turf. Photographing the ball on the grass made me think back to when I was younger, and it brought back a lot of memories of games played on grass. It brought back one specific memory when I was playing on a grass field and it was so muddy and slippery that the refs had to put down kitty litter to avoid us from slippy. A field hockey ball is a little bigger than a tennis ball, but it is as hard as a baseball and as smooth as a bowling ball. (Getting hit by one really hurts). Field hockey takes up a lot of my time, and so I thought that this object best resembles me and what I do. While I was photographing the ball, I had some struggles. It was harder for me to focus the image just on the ball without the grass. I solve this issue, I laid down on the ground and took the photo from that angle.
